PRESIDENT'S CORNER

Reflect on Life,

Mother's Day is just around the corner and as you remember all of the wonderful things your mother did for you, reflect on those things that left a lasting impression.

Do you recall the time when your mother brought your favorite toy home from shopping?  What a pleasant surprise to know that although you were absent from this exciting adventure, you were still top of mind.  In perspective, think about the delight your employer experiences when you deliver a project ahead of schedule, or your peers, when you assume responsibility for a team project that is completed successfully and again, ahead of schedule.

Today's economy demands that you consistently demonstrate your value.  It also spurs the thought pattern of truly working together as a team to accomplish one goal!

Take time out of your busy schedules to reflect on your personal goals and objectives as they relate to your professional responsibilities.  You will then be successful on both fronts!  Oh yeah, that toy is now your paycheck!  Make it a great day-

There's a LOT in the Works....

Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) is a national network of high school students and MBA professionals who focus on student empowerment.

The program was first implemented in Memphis in 1999. Each year roughly 20 metro area high school students, called "Leaders" have the opportunity to interact with outstanding business leaders from the local area and all over the world. Mentors guide the students through a challenging program designed to help them develop the skills and attitudes necessary for success.

Upcoming for LOT is a case competition on June 22nd.  Six students will travel to Detroit and compete in a formal case discussion against other high school students who complete work on the MBA-level.  The competition is sponsored by Samsung, one of the leading global technology companies in the world - positioning participants to be Leaders of Tomorrow.

To volunteer or for information on how your child can become a part of the program
