DeMone Payne, VP of Communiucations

DeMone Payne is a native Memphian that has established himself as a progressive Human Resources Professional. He began his journey in the HR field by dedicating nine years to Aerotek, Inc. where he was responsible for recruitment, management and consulting for various companies in the southern region. He was selected as a Diversity Champion to train other employees to become ambassadors for Aerotek, Inc. nationwide. Having proved himself as a top performer, he transitioned into his current role as a HR Generalist II at the corporate headquarters for AutoZone, Inc., a fortune 500 company.

After graduating from Whitehaven High School, DeMone received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management, from LeMoyne Owen College where he was voted Mr. LeMoyne Owen College. DeMone has also received his Masters of Arts in Human Resources Management from Webster University. He is presently Co-Chairman on the Career Services Advisory Board for the University of Memphis. Also , he currently serves as the Vice President of Communications on the Executive Advisory Board for the local Memphis Chapter of the NBMBAA. In addition, he serves as a current member of the Paralegal Advisory Board for Southwest Tennessee Community College. He is a member of the Memphis Chapter of SHRM. He has been a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. since 1996. This professional believes that hard and intelligent work breeds success.
