Social Events
Each year, the Memphis Chapter hosts a variety of social networking events which appeal to all aspects of the membership. These events give our members the opportunity to informally network and our sponsors the opportunity to reach members through dialogue, product sampling, giveaways, etc.
2009 Social Events: The Memphis Chapter will execute the following social events in 2009. Your sponsorship will include all events listed below.
- Night of Poetry - The "Night of Poetry" is a social and networking opportunity for members, associates, and friends to relax and express themselves through spoken word poetry. The event generally highlights published local talent while providing a forum for other attendees to express themselves as well. Featured poets are provided the opportunity to exhibit their published works and products.
- Art Social - Held at a local art gallery, the art social provides members with the opportunity to view artwork of established artists, dialogue about the "how-to's" of purchasing fine art and network with other working professionals. The event will feature an art auction from which the proceeds will benefit the Memphis Chapter's Leaders of Tomorrow program.
- Jazz Social - Typically held at a local jazz venue, this event offers the opportunity to network while listening to local jazz artist. The Jazz Social addresses the Memphis Chapter's initiative to provide members with an opportunity to mix and mingle in a relaxed atmosphere while providing networking options.
